About Us

The Tunica Main Street Program is an accredited program of the Mississippi Main Street Association and the National Main Street Association.  The Tunica Main Street Program strives to uphold the four points of the Main Street Program:  Economic Development, Program, Organization, and Historic Preservation.  Tunica is a small town with a big heart. The people of Tunica are loyal and loving and you’ll always be able to find a party crowd in Tunica!  Tunica is proud to be a part of a nationwide movement of revitalizing Small Town America!

Laura Withers serves as the Director and sole employee of the Tunica Main Street Program.  Laura has been director since August of 2017.  She was raised in Knoxville, TN but having lived in Tunica since 2008, she considers Tunica her home.  Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the University of Alabama and spent over 10 years in the hotel sales & convention planning industry before taking the job as Main Street Director.  She considers herself an avid event & party planner…everything from cook offs to festivals to baby showers!  Laura lives in Tunica with her husband, Tom and two sons, Thompson and Frazier.
